"Jeffers doesn't worry me"
from skysports.com

Speculation surrounding the Dutchman's future has been rife since Arsene Wenger signed the England under-21 man from Everton last week.

Jeffers' arrival leaves five strikers vying for two positions at Highbury, but Bergkamp says he will be staying to fight for a first-team place.

He said on his website at icons.com: "I know there's been a little bit of speculation about whether one of last season's four strikers will now leave, well I can tell you I'm going nowhere."

Bergkamp believes Jeffers will be the answer to the Gunners' lack of firepower following Thierry Henry's claims they needed a 'fox in the box'.

He said: "Francis Jeffers is a great signing for Arsenal. He is just the sort of striker we need, a guy who does the simple stuff.

"I know he's a great finisher and real 'killer' in the box. I wish him well and look forward to training with him soon. With Tony Adams and Martin Keown getting on a bit now, it's important I feel to keep an English presence in the team group."
